Yesterday we were pleased to host the first public reveal, showcase and evaluation of our upcoming digital platform for students with special educational needs and disabilities, Future Images, a project made possible by the UFI’s VocTech Trust grant.
Designed to help support SEND students with the transition from school to higher education and vocational training, Future Images aims to be a robust platform that will help young people living with special needs and disabilities during one of the most intimidating, transitory and exciting times of any young person’s life.
At this public reveal, we were able to show off to education professionals, students and parents of Stubbin Wood and Ashgate Croft Schools the research, intent and development of this very special project.
As both a Social Enterprise and an Engineering Company here at Kakou, it is always a pleasure to work on projects that merge our technological side with our passion for making positive change in our community, and we loved letting so many people all at once peek behind the curtain and see what makes projects like Future Images tick- every bit of research, development and collaboration laid bare to the people who we want most to engage positively with what we believe will be an important and valuable project for Derbyshire SEND students.
