We are proud to be supporting the Chesterfield Community Roast
The Chesterfield Community Roast Team is a volunteer group that organises a monthly event to serve a cooked Sunday roast for the local community.
This initiative originated in 2021 from the idea of reducing isolation, and with the dedicated efforts of a few individuals, it has become a reality.
Every month, we come together to cook and serve lunch for approximately 60-90 people.
When: Every 2nd Sunday of the Month, 12pm – 2pm
Where: Whittington Moor Methodist Church, Scarsdale Road, Chesterfield, S41
How much: If you can afford it, we ask for a donation of £2.50 adults, £1.50 children.

Happy New Year Everyone!

Chesterfield SOUP is a safe space where everyone is welcomed and supported. People come together to share a simple soup supper, connect with each other and champion community-based projects through crowdfunding, creativity, collaboration and fun. We eat, talk, share ideas and create new connections in the town.
What is SOUP?
SOUP is a micro-funding event that helps communities raise money for a project in their local area.
How does SOUP Work?
Inspired by the now-famous Detroit SOUP – the premise is a simple one; cook up some soup, charge a small entry fee to all attendees, invite local people to pitch their ideas for community projects, hold a vote to select the winner, the winner goes home with the proceeds towards their project.
Who is it for?
Chesterfield SOUP suppers are open to anyone – whether you (as an individual, team or community group) need help for an idea that could benefit a community in Derbyshire, or whether you want to support a project that aims to tackle local challenges! Your idea can be about anything – ranging from art, social enterprise, education, technology and more.
We run four SOUP events throughout the year.
More to come in 2024!
