We offer a range of creative workshops designed to engage people of all ages.
Beginners Basic Electronics and Coding with MicroBit
The BBC Micro:bit is a pocket sized codeable computer.
This course is designed to introduce the computer novice to the small but capable technologies that are now being introduced into schools.
No previous knowledge is assumed and the simple steps will take you through the basics from plugging everything in, to writing your first piece of code.
From being introduced to the board, you’ll have your name in lights in no time!
A laptop, MicroBit, any equipment and materials you need will be provided.

Copper Lamp Workshop
This workshop will walk you through the design and assembly of a simple lamp made out of copper piping.
Select from a variety of templates, or rapidly create your own designs.
You will be guided through the process of making the lamp, including cutting pipe, soldering connections, and electrical wiring.
No prior experience is needed.
All materials and tools are provided.
