The Derbyshire Creative Heritage Conference returned on the 16th March with a focus on digital technology and how it can be used to shine a light on the region’s heritage sites. The one-day event brought together industry experts, creatives, volunteers and those who love heritage to share ideas, network and develop partnerships for the future.
Hosted at the stunning Museum of Making in Derby, on Thursday 16th March, the theme for the fourth Derbyshire Creative Heritage Conference was; “Dive into Digital – hacking heritage with digital technologies’’. The aim of the day was to celebrate and showcase some exceptional creative heritage projects taking place in the region, with a line-up of inspiring speakers.
Throughout the day delegates were invited to take part in a unique conference evaluation, with the help of STEM ambassador, Junction Arts Trustee and Kakou Director – Ann Fomukong-Boden. Ann recorded the guests’ feedback of the event and used them to make a touch-sensitive interactive display.
Guests were also tasked with creating their own origami boat and contribute to our live art installation River Irwell Flotilla.
