A massive thank you to DJ Troi Lee and MC Geezer from Deaf Rave for bringing their inclusive beginner DJ workshop to Chesterfield today.
Proving that anyone can DJ and enjoy music, six deaf/hard-of-hearing women enjoyed being introduced to this new experience.
We all had a fantastic time learning about mixing tracks and getting to experience the Woojer tactile vests.
Additional thanks goes to Yorkshire Sound Women Network and Arts Council England for providing funding that enabled us to run this workshop for free.
Also, thank you to West Studios for being tremendous hosts and Deafinitely Women for supporting the event.
We look forward to putting on more inclusive music workshops over the next year.

I learnt lots of new skills and about the technology. Need more hours or a weekly workshop.
The workshop was brilliant. I’m keen to attend again and I’m looking into buying some equipment.
