An event that we’ve been shouting about for what seems like forever has finally come and gone this month, and we couldn’t be more pleased with how the inaugural Annual SocialFuse Festival went earlier this September.
A journey of a thousand miles, of course, begins with a single step and this first SocialFuse Festival was no exception. The week proved to be an invaluable and unique learning experience for us at Kakou and one that has made us incredibly confident in the bright future of this event!
From our ‘In Conversation With…’ panel that led to a rich and informative group conversation, to the inclusion of Rebecca Anne-Withey’s outrageously popular ‘Sign Singing for Fun’ workshops that continue to be a smash among deaf and hearing participants alike, there was something for everyone at this weeklong celebration of Derbyshire Social Enterprising.
All that time spent excitedly waiting for the festival to arrive, and it was over in what felt like a flash… until next year.
